
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Kuantyrov met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Khalifa Al-Harthy.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of Kazakhstan-Oman cooperation, as well as further development of trade, economic and investment ties.
The sides emphasized the importance of the existing mechanisms of bilateral cooperation. In particular, they noted the productive outcome of the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Sultanate of Oman, held in December 2025. In this regard, the sides exchanged views on preparations for the second meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission.
Particular attention was paid to the establishment of the Kazakhstan-Oman Business Council and a Joint Investment Fund aimed at strengthening contacts between the business communities of the two countries, expanding investment cooperation and promoting joint projects.
As part of the economic agenda, the sides noted significant potential for expanding cooperation in energy, mining, transport and logistics, agriculture, tourism and new technologies.
Following the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their interest in further strengthening Kazakhstan-Oman relations and agreed to continue joint efforts to advance promising areas of cooperation.
