Pet Food Manufacturing Plant with Investments Exceeding 88 Billion Tenge to Be Built in Almaty Region

Аs part of the implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the development of the manufacturing industry, a plant for the production of finished pet food will be built in the Almaty Region. The relevant resolution was signed by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.

In particular, the Ministry of Agriculture has concluded an agreement with Mars Petcare Kazakhstan LLP, which provides for the construction of the enterprise in the city of Konaev. The total volume of investments will amount to more than 88.8 billion tenge. The design capacity of the plant is 100 thousand tons of products per year.

Construction and commissioning of the facility are planned to be completed by December 31, 2030. The start of operations is scheduled for January 1, 2031. The plant will create 200 jobs, with at least 85% of employees being citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Measures for training and professional development of personnel are also planned.

The implementation of this project will make a significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstan’s processing industry, will expand the range of domestically produced goods with high added value, and will create a sustainable production base in the region.
