Former Arsenal star Arshavin moving to Kazakhstan

Former Arsenal star Andrey Arshavin is extending his playing career in Kazakhstan.

The Daily Mail says Arshavin is close to joining Kairat on a free transfer as the former Arsenal attacker packs his bags to complete move to Kazakhstan.

Kairat confirmed talks were under way and that he'd already trained with the first team after they posted a picture on the club's website.

Arshavin became somewhat of a cult hero at Arsenal during his spell at the club, which included a sensational performance at Liverpool, where he netted four goals.
