American cello rock band to play rock'n'roll in Atyrau

"Break of Reality" cello rock bandOn March 8, in the House of Culture named after Kurmangazy (in Zhilgorodok) an American cello rock group “Break of Reality” will give a free concert. The event is organized by the U.S. Embassy.

It’s probably, the only rock group in the history made up of three cellists and a percussionist. The public relations department of American Consulate in Astana informed that the group was formed in 2003  while the original members were freshmen at the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. After graduation the group started to organize tours in the USA, performing at cultural centers, colleges, rock-clubs and music festivals.

Break of Reality are engaged in promotion of music education - the group gives concerts at public schools in all parts of the country. Besides, they support the development of business in musical sphere and developed a series of lectures for broadening of practical opportunities of the promising classical musicians.

The American consulate in Astana informed that U.S. Embassy organized “Break of Reality” concerts in Kazakhstan within a framework of cultural exchange between our countries.
