Egypt is Committed to Close Cooperation with Kazakhstan

Cairo, March 24, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt Askar Zhengis met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration of the Arab Republic of Egypt Amr Aljowaily.

During the meeting, Ambassador Zhengis presented a letter on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, addressed to the Minister of  Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt Badr Abdelatty, expressing gratitude to the Egyptian side for co-sponsoring the UN General Assembly resolution on the establishment in Almaty of the UN Regional Center for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan.

The sides confirmed that the UN regional hub will become an important platform for coordinating international efforts in the region.

In addition, they noted the high level of interaction between the two countries within the framework of international organizations such as CICA, OIC, IOFS, etc.

The significance of putting into practice the outcomes of the ninth round of political consultations, which took place in Astana in February 2025, was underlined. This allowed for the “compared the notes” on current bilateral and multilateral agenda items and reaffirmed the commitment to enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation in the areas of politics, trade-economics, culture, and humanitarianism.

Following the meeting, mutual interest was expressed in strengthening and expanding bilateral ties at all levels and a commitment to further development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Egypt was confirmed.
