The regional nature protection prosecutorate continues investigation into massive bird killing at the island of Shalyga in the Caspian Sea.

According to the nature prosecutor, carcasses of dead birds have proven pasteurellosis negative in a test conducted by Central Veterinarian Laboratory in Astana.

Microbiology and Virusology Institute employees will arrive to Atyrau soon. They will visit Shalyga island as well as neighboring isles Kairan and Aktoty.

"We will check water, soil and living fish there. Dead birds will be examined once again," the prosecutor said.
