The involvement of local companies in strategic tenders contributes not only to the economic growth of the region and the country, but also to improving the skills of local professionals, strengthening the industrial base, and developing advanced technologies in Kazakhstan. The contracts to supply materials for maintenance, repair and production operations were awarded to 3 supplier group of companies - Sigma Solutions, ONM Paritet, KISCO, 2 out of which are local, for supply of miscellaneous electrical, mechanical materials, tools, filters, pipes, fittings, flanges, gaskets and fasteners. - We are confident that these contracts will contribute not only to sustainable development of our production but also to strengthening partnerships with Kazakhstani companies. These contracts emphasize TCO’s commitment to supporting local suppliers and contributing to the development of the national economy. Involvement of local companies in such projects contributes to the creation of new jobs and professional development of local expertise. Localization of production also helps to reduce dependence on imports and develop the technological potential of the country, - highlighted Konilkosh Suyessinov, TCO Deputy General Director.

In addition to logistics, TCO pays attention to the development of human resources. Within the framework of the new contracts, professional development is provided for local employees. This allows Kazakhstani specialists to master new skills and advanced technologies, which, in turn, increases competitiveness of the local workforce at the international level.

TCO believes that investments in the localization of production and development of local suppliers also contribute to improving infrastructure in the region. This expansion requires the creation of new production facilities, improvement of the transport network, and modernization of existing manufacturers. These initiatives demonstrate TCO’s commitment to high business standards and confirm the importance of local partners in implementing the company’s long-term strategic plans.

It should be noted that TCO has always been one of the key partners in the economic development of Kazakhstan and one of the leading players in development of local business. Since 1993, TCO has purchased goods and services from Kazakhstani suppliers amounting to over $49.2 billion. In Q1 2024, expenses for KC development amounted to about $790 million , including over $440 million within the framework of the Future Growth Project and Wellhead Pressure Management Project (FGP-WPMP). Overall, the level of Kazakhstani content in goods and services purchased by TCO reached 71% by the end of 2023, compared with 11% in 1993. These figures indicate that the promotion and development of local resources and enterprises in the oil and gas industry are integral parts of TCO’s sustainable development.
