Batyrzhan Tergeussizov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Capital Construction and New Projects at JSC NC QazaqGaz, carried out a site inspection of the 1 bcm per annum gas processing plant under construction at Kashagan. The meeting was attended by relevant specialists from GPCI and representatives of the contracting organisations, reports QazaqGaz. During the session, contractors presented an update on the progress of construction and installation works and outlined plans to achieve key project milestones by the end of the current year.
Mr Tergeusizov emphasised the need to further accelerate the pace of construction. He instructed the team to strengthen oversight of construction and installation works, continue efforts to optimise production processes, and place particular focus on compliance with industrial and fire safety requirements, including during night shifts.

More than 1,500 specialists are currently engaged on site, including 1,002 direct personnel. Approximately 113 employees are involved in night shifts. Over 346 units of construction machinery are in operation. Particular attention is being paid to ensuring safe working conditions, including for night-time operations.
Progress on construction and installation works
Ongoing foundation works, installation of steel structures, maintenance platforms and process structures;
Installation of the fire-fighting pipeline, formwork assembly and reinforcement of foundations, as well as backfilling and excavation works for external utility networks (NVK-2);
Sandblasting and painting of RVS-5000 and RVS-1000 storage tanks underway;
Welding and heat treatment works on spherical tanks have been completed;
Continued installation and painting of steel structures on units and pipe racks;
At the rotational camp, works are underway on entrance groups, on-site NVK utility networks, electrical installation and low-current systems, as well as partition installation.
Completion of key work streams
Concrete works for foundations: 59,276 m³ completed (77.8%);
Installation of steel structures: 9,520 tonnes (47.2%);
Installation of mechanical equipment: 4,698 tonnes (47.9%);
Tank installation: 1,863 tonnes (92.6%);
Underground pipeline installation: 24,933 metres (54.2%).
JSC NC QazaqGaz continues to exercise comprehensive oversight of the project’s implementation, ensuring adherence to construction timelines and compliance with established quality and safety standards at every stage.
