Kazakhstan should reduce the number of its diplomatic mission in foreign countries, said President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev who is chairing the Government's extended meeting on Wednesday.
"We are not that policy determining superpower in diplomacy. We have ambassadors everywhere, no idea what they are doing there! Moreover, they don't know economics," said Nazarbayev.
He then said that the Government and the ministerial meetings must discuss the quality of the Ambassadors and whether the country needs that number of envoys.
The head of state added that Kazakhstan is better to have its envoys in that countries “where Kazakhstan has interests."
