The heads of CIS countries adopted a statement on fighting international terrorism and the concept of military cooperation between CIS member states till 2020, TASS news agency reported.
A total of 16 documents have been signed during the expanded meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State being held in Kazakhstan.
Moreover, the meeting participants adopted a statement on the 70th anniversary of the UN and an appeal on the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.
Furthermore, the sides made a decision to form groups of border and other agencies for crisis management at the external borders, as well as a program of cooperation in strengthening the security at the external borders for 2016-2020.
Several documents are dedicated to cooperation in the law enforcement sphere.
An agreement on cooperation in prevention and elimination of emergency situations is also among the signed documents.
