​Putin to visit Kazakhstan this week

Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Kazakhstan on October 15-16 to take part in meetings of the Council of Heads of the CIS and the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

In Kazakhstan, Putin will meet with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko this week in Kazakhstan, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday, reports RIA Novosti.

“Lukashenko and him will meet at the end of the week in Kazakhstan," Peskov said.

According to preliminary results from Sunday's presidential elections, Lukashenko garnered 83.5 percent of the popular vote, giving him a landslide win for his fifth term in office.
