A presentation of the documentary film "550 years of the Kazakh Khanate", produced by the order of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan based on the book of Nursultan Nazarbayev "In the Stream of History" was held in Robert De Niro Sr's studio in New York, BNews.kz reports.
According to the press service of the ISS of Kazakhstan, ten-part documentary series "550 years of the Kazakh Khanate" is dedicated to the history of formation of the Kazakh Khanate. Each episode tells the story of a single stage in the history of the Kazakh people, from the establishment of the Kazakh Khanate in 1465 to the independence of Kazakhstan. The film vividly and comprehensively reveals the historical and geopolitical role of Kazakhstan in the world.
A presentation of the film took place in the framework of the national action plan "100 concrete steps." The film reflects the results of scientific researches of the Kazakhstan scientists working abroad, as well as international experts and historians.
The documentary was screened in the English language. The presentation was attended by Consul- General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in New York Raushan Esbulatova, General Director of the Kazakh Research Institute of Culture, Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and executive producer Andrey Khazbulatov, a famous American film director Mario De Coudray, as well as founder and president of the " Seagull Films» studio Alla Verlotski, president and executive producer of the « Intelligent Television & The Intelligent Channel » studio Peter Kaufman, founder and president of the agency for the promotion of cinema Anatoly Rivkin, a professor at Columbia University Rafis Abazov, representatives of the US State Department, NGOs, independent experts and scientists.
