"Iron Man" star Robert Downey Jr. has been named the world's top-earning actor by Forbes.
The 50-year-old earned an estimated 80 million US dollars between June 2014 and June 2015.
This was mainly due to the success of this year's superhero ensemble "Avengers: Age of Ultron," which grossed more than 1.3 billion US dollars worldwide.
Second-place honors went to veteran Chinese actor and martial arts star Jackie Chan.
Forbes says Chan has earned 50 million US dollars in the past year from Hollywood and China co-productions like "Dragon Blade."
Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Adam Sandler and Tom Cruise make up the top 6.
Bollywood superstars Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar have also made it to the top 10 Forbes rich list for movie stars.
The full list includes 33 actors and actrsses from seven countries, who together earned a combined 877 million US dollars before taxes and fees in the past year.
