Atyrau airport to be named after Khiuaz Dospanova

This was announced at the festive event dedicated to the 70^th anniversary of Victory that was held at the Atyrau airport.

According to Zhanyl Umbetiyarova, the director of ATMA -Atyrau airport, the organization received a letter from the regional government office with the proposal from the initiative group and a number of Parliament deputies about giving the name of the Kazakh pilot woman- the 2^nd World War hero. The airport team supported this initiave.

Aidyn Aibarov, war veteran who studied together with Khiuz at the Urask pilots airclub, shared his memeories about the legendary woman pilot.

In 2012 Khiuaz Dospanova's name was given to the Embraer 190 airliner of "Air Astana"aircompany.
