President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has nominated Karim Massimov to the post of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan as the government of the country resigned today in connection to Nazarbayev's reelection.
According to Kazakhstan's Constitution, the Government must be renewed with the start of a new term of the president of the country.
Karim Massimov was a Prime Minister of Kazakhstan since April 2, 2014.
The leaders of parliamentary factions in the Majilis (lower house) of the Parliament of Kazakhstan have supported the candidacy of Karim Massimov for the post of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
