Illustrative photo.On Saturday, January 17, at 18.30 a road accident took place on Kulsary-Atyrau highway. As the result of road accident six people died on the spot.
According to Aslanbek Bekbosynov, the assistant prosecutor of Zhyloi District, on the 42nd kilometer of the highway from Kulsary a Kamaz truck coming from Tengiz and a 7-seater minivan had a head-on collision. Six people including three men and three women died on the spot. The Kamaz driver and the only survived 36-y.o. woman from the van were placed in intensive care unit of the district hospital in Kulsary. The reasons of the fatal road accident are being investigated.
According to the police division chief of Zhyloi District Department of Internal Affairs Sagyn Dorzhikov, the criminal case has been initiated as per Article 345, part 4 of the of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan ("The violation of traffic rules by the persons operating vehicles that entailed the death of two or more persons").
The Kamaz driver (35-y.o. resident of Almaly village) and one of the passengers from minivan taxi, 14-y.o. teenager from Atyrau (his mother died in this road accident) are in intensive care unit of Kulsary district hospital. One more passenger, 36-y.o. woman is now in the intensive care unit of Atyrau regional hospital.
