On November 25 approximately at 15:30 a man jumped from the central bridge into the river in Atyrau.
A passersby who witnessed the jump called 112 (Emergency Department dispatcher desk). A group of rescuers urgently rushed to the scene (the coast guard station is located near the bridge).
The rescuers using rubber boat managed to save the man.
According to Ershat Kibashev, the chief of regional life-saving service, there was no ice under the bridge and thanks to that the man received no injuries. The rescued man was handed over to the police. The psychologists are now clarifying the reasons for suicide attempt.
