Kazakhstan to earmark $100M to help Kyrgyzstan

Kazakhstan is set to earmark $100 million to support its neighbor Kyrgyzstan.

It was announced by President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev following the 4th session of the Supreme Interstate Council in Astana on Friday, azh.kz refers to inform.kz.

"Kyrgyzstan is joining the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). And Kazakhstan is ready to help Kyrgyzstan by allotting $100 million," President Atambayev said.

He also noted that at the session of the Supreme Interstate Council Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan had agreed electricity supplies to Kyrgyzstan.
