The Financial Police of Kazakhstan has closed over 600 illegal casinos operating in Kazakhstan since 2013, said Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption Marat Akhmetzhanov, ca-news.org reports.
“The underground casinos still operate though,” he added. “591 illegal gambling organizations were stopped in 2013 and 5 months of 2014, more than three thousand slot machines, roulette and poker tables were seized,” said Akhmetzhanov speaking at the media briefing of the Central Communications Service.
