$0.5 mln heroin burned publicly in Kazakhstan

Karaganda police have burned down publicly in front of the teenagers 25 kg of heroin seized during the raids, the press service said.

The price of drugs destroyed would be about $450,000 in the "shadow" market, the police said. 

Two months ago, Shet district of Karaganda region's police arrested two unemployed Shymkent residents with a large amount of heroin. The police probed the criminal case, ca-news reported.

Special operation was conducted by the Anti-Drug Department of the Karaganda DIA.
