Air service to be resumed between Kazakhstan and Mongolia

Air communication between Kazakhstan and Mongolia will be resumed, the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications informs.

The ministry says it is planned to reopen air communication between several cities of Kazakhstan and Mongolia. 

"Air Astana air carrier will operate the Astana-Ulan Bator flights from Astana and Bek Air will operate the regular Astana - Bayan-Ulgii - Astana flights in the near future," the ministry's press release reads. 

A huge Kazakh diaspora residing in Mongolia and Kazakhstani MPs requested to resume air service between the two countries last year. The initiative has garnered support of Kazakhstani air carriers.
