Border guard service under the Kazakhstan National Security Committee (NSC) plans to fully upgrade technical equipment and weapons, this has been announced by Deputy Head of the committee Kanat Aktanov inform.kz reports.
"President Nursultan Nazarbayev gave an instruction to work out a comprehensive plan for the development of the Border guard service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan. The plan will include the issues of technical equipment. We plan to fully replace the outdated technical equipment and weapons", said K.Aktanov, speaking at the meeting of deputy heads of border departments of the CIS.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the border agencies of Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the Coordination Service of the Council of Border Troops Commanders.
The round table discussed the prospects of military-technical cooperation.
