Prime Minister Karim Massimov has signed a government decree on days off in May, the press service of the Kazakh PM reports.
"To create favorable conditions for rest and rational use of work time, the day off shall be moved from Sunday May 4 to Friday May 2, 2014, as well as from Sunday May 11 to Thursday May 8, 2014.
According to the Decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan companies provided with labor, material and financial resources for production of goods, rendering services, including financial ones, as well as for putting construction facilities into service, shall have a right to work on May 2 and 8, 2014 with an approval from their trade unions. The work that day shall be paid in line with the acting legislation of Kazakhstan.
