Ban on export of petroleum products from Kazakhstan has been prolonged until the second half of 2014, tengrinews reports.
A correspondent resolution introducing the temporary ban on export of light distillates and products, kerosene, gas oils and other petroleum products was published in the official media.
"(...) the government of Kazakhstan decrees to introduce the six-month ban on export of light distillates and products, kerosene, gas oils and other petroleum products, except for petroleum solvent and heating oil, to prevent a critical shortage and escalation of prices at the internal market of petroleum products," the message says.
The resolution came into effect on January 1, 2014
