Kazakhstan will create single operator for all public procurement in the country, trend.az reports.
The creation of such a body is envisaged by the draft law on amendments and supplements to some legislative acts on public procurement which was approved on Dec.18 by the country's Majilis (Parliament's lower chamber), Novosti-Kazakhstan news agency reported.
The new body is expected to conduct purchases through bids and auctions.
Kazakhstan's authorities hope the single public procurements operator will decrease corruption, increase control and ensure choice of qualified suppliers.
