Kazakh-US Energy Partnership Convenes In Washington

Kazakh Oil and Gas Minister Sauat Mynbayev The 9th meeting of the joint Kazakh-US energy partnership commission chaired by Kazakh Oil and Gas Minister Sauat Mynbayev and US Deputy Secretary of Energy Daniel Poneman has started its work today in Washington, DC, reports kazakhstanlive.com.

"During the two-day meeting the parties are expected to outline further cooperation in four areas such as atomic industry and nonproliferation, hydrocarbon energy, power industry, renewable energy and energy saving," official spokesman for the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Altai Abibullayev announced. "The parties are to sign the joint action plan on energy partnership for 2012-2013 based on realization of the analogous plan adopted at the last meeting of the commission held last year in Astana."
