The citizen of Ukraine has been jailed for 7 years for the attempt to kidnap 5-year- old girl in Atyrau this summer.
According to Sayan Dauyesheva, the assistant to the city prosecutor, on June 16, approximately at 6:30pm, 26-year-old citizen of Ukraine (temporarily residing in Atyrau), being in a state of alcohol intoxication, saw a little girl sitting on a bench in front of the house #62 on Zharbosynov Street. He took the child and hurried towards the abandoned building of the former helicopter plant.
The elder sister of the child who played in the yard, raised alarm. Their neighbor Zhasulan Dzhaurov rushed to the scene and tried to take the child off the stranger (later he received the letter of gratitude from the Police Department). The other neighbors, who heard the alarm, rushed to the evil-doer, helped to twist his arms and held him till the arrival of police.
– The actions of this criminal had all signs of kidnapping. He knew that in front of him there was a child. He took the child, using physical force, and tried to take her away to the other place, - said Dauyesheva.
Atyrau city court #2 found the defendant guilty of committing a crime, provided for in part 3 of Article 24 and item “d” of part 2 of Article 125 of RoK Criminal Code (“Attempt to kidnap a minor”) and sentenced him to 7 years of imprisonment in the correctional colony of general regime. The sentence became final.
