The expedition to the ISS including the Russian cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin, the U.S. astronaut Karen Nyberg and the Italian astronaut Luca Parmitano has returned safely to Earth, inform.kz reports.
The descent capsule of the manned spacecraft called "Soyuz TMA-09M " landed exactly at 8:49 am Astana time, as it was planned, to the south-east of the town of Zhezkazgan in Kazakhstan. Astronauts, having completed an expedition to the ISS, are back to Earth with torch of the Olympic Games in Sochi, which performed in space one of the stages of the Olympic torch relay.
The landing capsule with the astronauts and the Olympic torch were accompanied by the Russian helicopters.
NOTE: November 9 the Olympic torch for the first time in the history of the Olympic movement appeared in outer space. There he was carried by the Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kotov and Sergey Ryazan.
Today at 5:26 a.m. Astana time the manned transport spacecraft "Soyuz TMA 09M " undocked from the ISS and began its move to the Earth. Thw work on the orbit is continued by the Russian cosmonauts O.Kotov, S.Ryazansky and Mikhail Tyurin, the U.S. astronaut Michael Hopkins and Richard Mastracchio and the Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata.
