Kazakhstan and Qatar are eyeing the possibility of launching direct flights between the two countries, it was announced by the newly appointed ambassador of Qatar to Kazakhstan Abdullah Ahmed Yousef Ahmed Al Mutawa in the presidential residence in Astana on Tuesday.
"We intend to establish direct flight routes between our countries, because this issue is an important component in the development of tourism," the Qatari diplomat said after delivering credentials to the President of Kazakhstan.
In his words, Kazakhstan boasts great potential in that sphere. Environmental protection was mentioned as another field for bilateral cooperation between Qatar and Kazakhstan.
