OHN O’SHEA scored his first international goal for a decade as the Republic of Ireland fought back to beat Kazakhstan in Dublin.
Robbie Keane had earlier cancelled Dmitriy Shomko’s 13th-minute strike by netting from the spot.
O’Shea then struck with a low shot in the 26th minute.
Despite losing Darron Gibson to a knee injury, the Republic were rarely tested and a 78th-minute own goal by Andrei Finonchenko secured Ireland’s fourth win of their campaign.
