Astana to host 6th Civil Forum of Kazakhstan

The 6th Civil Forum of Kazakhstan will take place in Astana on October 14-15, the press service of the National Welfare Fund "Samruk-Kazyna" reports.

The main purpose of the forum is to expand cooperation between state bodies and non-governmental organizations and establishment of cooperation in addressing topical social issues.

Prior to the forum, all the regions of Kazakhstan will hold NGO forums where delegates to the national forum are expected to be selected and recommendations will be developed.

By the decree of the Mayor, the 8th Civil Forum of Almaty will be held on October 16, 2013 at 9:30 am in Almaty Towers. The theme of the forum is “Green Economy –Choice of Almaty”. Heads of the local executive bodies, non-governmental organizations, national and foreign experts, business representatives and mass media will take part in the event.

An exhibition of the best social projects implemented by the NGOs and projects on introduction of the green economy in the city will be held prior to the forum.
