New oil minister arrives in Atyrau

July 17, Uzakbai Karabalin has arrived in Atyrau on his first official visit in the quality of Kazakhstan's oil and gas minister.

On the first day he went to D island of Kashagan field, attended the construction site of KPI [integrated gas and chemical complex] and the Atyrau refinery, where he was demonstrated the progress of the refinery's projects - construction of an aromatic hydrocarbons production complex and advanced petroleum refining facility.

On July 18, the minister has a scheduled meeting with the management of Tengizchevroil company and later will hear a performance report of Embamunaygas JSC.
