Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has signed a law to reform road transport sector.
The document envisages creating a 100% state owned national operator that will be in charge of all roads of republican importance.
National operator will arrange and control road construction, restoration, repair and maintenence, and collect toll road fees.
The law also provides standards on introduction of prepaid passage at some streets in cities of republican importance and the prerogative to establish price and define toll roads will be up to the government.
