Uzakbai Karabalin - new oil and gas minister

Uzakbai Karabalin has been appointed minister of oil and gas of Kazakhstan, presidential media service announced.

Since 2009 till the new assignment, he had been the president of Kazakh Institute of Oil and Gas.

Previous minister Sauat Mynbayev has been transferred to another job, the press release says.
