Leaflets supporting Tsarnaev brothers appeared in Atyrau

Leaflets expressing support for Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev have appeared in Atyrau.

A WKT reporter was walking along the river embankment between the central bridge and the crossing with boulevard named after Kairgali Smagoulov (near Agila Trade Centre) and spotted two eye-catching leaflets.

The first one was sticked to a lamp pole near “Atyrausky” health centre (sanatorium).

On a white piece of paper with a biro pen the following words were written: “Chechen Republick. Free Jahar. [In English] In support of Tsarnaev brothers. [In Russian]”

The another leaflet was posted at a height of two meters… on a pole, which one time had a police CCTV camera, later dismantled.

On the leaflet was Dzhokhar’s photo supplemented with a note “Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is innocent”.

According to passers-by the leaflets were hanged a few days ago and the city police paid no attention to them.

To recall, in early May similar leaflets were seen in the streets of Karaganda.
