Kazakhstan and the World Bank will soon sign a loan agreement worth 24 million U.S. dollars to finance projects in the field of energy efficiency in the social sector, Kazakh Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies Kanysh Tuleushin said at a meeting of the Government on Tuesday, PM's official website reports.
"Together with the World Bank, we raised the funds in the amount of 24 million dollars to finance projects in the field of energy efficiency in the social sector," Tuleushin stated.
According to the Deputy Minister, under this project it is planned from 2014 to 2016 to conduct annual modernization of 20 schools, 5 hospitals and implement one project of street lighting in different regions of the country.
"In the public sector, thermal modernization was carried out at 580 facilities, automated heating units were installed at more than 1,000 facilities," Tuleushin added.
