Tengizchevroil, Mangystau akimat sign memo

April 2, Mangystau akimat and Tengizchevroil LLP signed a memorandum of cooperation. The document was signed by governor Alik Aidarbayev on behalf of Mangystau and Tim Miller, general director of the company.

The memorandum is concluded within Tengizchevroil's Future Growth Project aimed at increase of oil production at Tengiz oil field, reports media service of Mangystau akimat.

"Future Growth Project will allow to raise competitiveness of our enterprises, to solve Kazakh content issues in the region, create conditions for capacity utilization of Kazakh enterprises and by doing so create new jobs," said Alik Aidarbayev at the meeting.

"The project will allow Tengizchevroil to expand capacities for production of additional 12 million tons of oil and increase production in existing wells. People from entire Kazakhstan will be employed, as a priority, from Mangystau and Atyrau oblasts. Large volume of equipment will be produced here, in Mangystau, therefore, we have arrived here today to sign an agreement with the oblast akim," said Tim Miller.
