Kazakh Senate passed the bill "On ratification of the Charter of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)" on Thursday.

Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev who presented the bill said its ratification would allow Kazakhstan to become a full-fledged member of the agency with a voting right and a free access to necessary information. IRENA's annual fee amounts to 12 thousand US dollars.

In line with the Charter, the International Renewable Energy Agency promotes widespread and increased adoption and sustainable use of all forms of renewable energy. IRENA facilitates access to all relevant renewable energy information, including technical data.
