The Board of Directors of Samruk-Kazyna JSC reviewed the Fund's performance results for the first 9 months of 2026, including key financial and operational indicators, as well as measures to support domestic manufacturers. Attention was focused on the tasks set by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his Address "Current Tasks of Kazakhstan in a New Historical Cycle" to ensure the timely implementation of major investment projects.

Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of the Fund, reported a 13% increase in revenue for the reporting period and a 19% increase in net profit. The plan for key operational indicators was fulfilled.

The Board of Directors heard information on the progress of implementing 69 major investment projects with a total value of 43.8 trillion tenge. The largest volume of investments is accounted for by the oil and gas industry, petrochemicals, and traditional power generation, also covering areas of gas transmission and energy infrastructure development, transport, communications, and other sectors. To date, construction and assembly works are underway on 44 projects, while the remainder are at various stages of implementation.

Among the key launched projects of the Fund was the commissioning in October of this year of a 380-km fiber-optic communication line between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, aimed at expanding capabilities for international data exchange and strengthening the digital connectivity of the two countries. The Fund's debut placement of yuan-denominated bonds worth 3 billion yuan on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the Astana International Exchange was also noted. This step will ensure expanded access to international capital markets and provide impetus to attracting additional investments into the country's economy. An important stage in the development of transport potential is the opening of traffic on the new Darbaza – Maktaaral railway line. In October of this year, the first freight train with Kazakhstani coal was dispatched to Uzbekistan along the route. The commissioning of the trunk line will make it possible to significantly expand the capacity of the railway network, increase freight transport volumes, and form additional export routes for Kazakhstani products to Central Asian countries.

As part of efforts to support domestic manufacturers, the volume of the Fund's procurements from Kazakhstani companies over 9 months amounted to about 1.4 trillion tenge, which is 45% higher than in the same period last year. The volume of off-take contracts for the reporting period reached 73 billion tenge.

In addition, the construction of new social facilities continues. In 2027–2028, it is planned to complete a number of major medical facilities in Astana, Turkestan, and Petropavl, as well as to implement projects in inclusive sports, rehabilitation, education, and culture.

Following the meeting, the Prime Minister criticized the management of the Fund and its subsidiaries for permitted delays in the implementation schedules of investment projects and instructed them to tighten control over compliance with established deadlines, as well as to continue working on increasing the share of local content in purchased goods, works, and services within their implementation. Furthermore, instructions were given to place under heightened control the timely commissioning of ongoing projects, including the launch of generating capacities in Turkestan, Kyzylorda, Almaty, and Ekibastuz, and the construction of gas processing plants.
