Roundtable on Security Issues in Central Asia and Greater Eurasia Held in Moscow

On September 11, 2026, a roundtable discussion titled "Kazakhstan — Central Asia — Greater Eurasia: Resilience and Security in the Face of New Challenges" was held in Moscow. The event was organized at the initiative of the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

The discussion was attended by the CSTO Secretary General, permanent representatives of the Organization's member states, the Responsible Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, as well as leading experts and diplomats.

Participants discussed in detail issues related to the constitutional reform carried out in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the elections to the Kurultai in the context of ensuring various aspects of security in Central Asia.

During his remarks, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the CSTO, Marat Syzdykov, provided participants with detailed information on the ongoing political transformations in the country, including the entry into force of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the elections to the Kurultai.

Roundtable participants engaged in a substantive exchange of views on the international and regional situation, assessing its impact on the security of the CSTO member states.
