Alibek Zhamauov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz, held a meeting with the heads of subsidiaries on the issues of the autumn-winter period. During the meeting, the reports of the first heads of JSC Intergaz Central Asia, JSC QazaqGaz Aimaq and LLP QazaqGaz Onimderi on the passage of the heating period and measures to ensure uninterrupted and safe gas supply to consumers were heard.
According to the management of QazaqGaz Aimaq JSC (QGA), during the three months of the heating season, the emergency dispatch service processed 15,423 applications, which is 14% less (17,846 applications) than in the same period last year. It is worth noting that over the past two seasons there has been a steady decrease in the number of emergency applications. The uninterrupted operation of more than 74.3 thousand km of gas distribution networks and 273,541 connected structures (hydraulic fracturing, PHB, SHGRP) was provided by 5,616 employees, including 891 emergency dispatcher workers who were on duty around the clock.
In order to prevent accidents and accidents at home, the company's management implements a set of measures to raise public awareness about the safe use of gas appliances. As part of these measures, explanatory work is being carried out through the media, the distribution of memos, joint raids with emergency situations in the regions and meetings with the population.
According to the management of JSC Intergas Central Asia (ICA), the facilities of the gas transmission system are operating normally. This is the result of well-coordinated work and a high degree of readiness for the heating season. Stable gas supply is provided, including through reserve volumes of gas from existing UGS (underground gas storage facilities). The volume of extraction from the Bozoy UGS since the beginning of the heating period has reached 830 million m3. Gas extraction from the Poltoratskoye UGS is 195.4 million m3, and from the Akyrtobe UGS is 84.3 million m3.
According to the report of the management of QazaqGaz Onimderi LLP, since the beginning of the heating season, DLS-Pergam mobile laboratories have been involved for a detailed inspection of gas pipelines and structures. 2,215 km was covered, and the distribution networks were checked for gas leaks in conjunction with the QGA. "Uninterrupted gas supply is our daily priority. It is important to strengthen preventive work with the public, explain the rules for the safe use of gas appliances and how to act correctly in case of emergencies. Our goal is to complete the heating season stably, without accidents and emergencies, while maintaining a high level of responsibility and professionalism," Alibek Zhamauov emphasized.
Following the meeting, instructions were given to strengthen prevention on the safe use of gas, to ensure road safety when operating vehicles in winter conditions, and to continue work on improving the reliability and efficiency of gas supply.
It should be noted that the 2025-2026 heating season is running normally: no serious accidents or emergencies have been recorded at gas infrastructure facilities in Kazakhstan. The National Company continues to implement a reliable gas supply strategy, responding to growing demand and actively increasing consumer safety measures.
