​New chairman of National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan appointed

New President of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan was elected during the 17th Congress of NOC.

Timur Kulibayev was unanimously elected to the post of the head of the organization and supported by the Congress of Delegates.

Kulibayev in his speech noted the importance of implementation of the tasks of the National Olympic Committee. "The main goal right now is successful performance of Kazakhstan's national team at the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016," he said.
