Inflation in Kazakhstan made 1.5% since the beginning of the year; the rate reached 0.1% in July 2015, said the Statistics Committee under the Ministry of National Economy.
Prices for food fell by 0.3% in the past month but increased by 0.2% for non-food products and by 0.5% for paid services. Since the beginning of the year, prices for food products increased by 1.1%, non-food – by 0.9%, services – by 2.6%.
In particular, last month marked drop in prices of potatoes by 12.3%, fresh vegetables – by 6.5%, eggs – by 4.6%, poultry – by 0.9%, kefir – by 0.7%, pasteurized milk and cheese – by 0.6%, vegetable oil and butter – by 0.3%.
Increase in prices was recorded for carrot by 11.9%, apples by 4.7%, oranges by 1.9%, dried fruit and nuts by 1.2%, fruit and vegetable juices by 1.1%, bread by 0.8%, pearl barley by 0.6%, semolina and pastry by 0.5%.
Prices for wallpaper, water-based paints increased by 1%, textile products – 0.6%, furniture and household goods – 0.5%, equipment for sport, tourism and outdoor recreation – 0.4%, pharmaceutical products – 0.3%.
Prices for the services of recreation organizations increased by 2.1%, maintenance and repair of dwellings – 1.3%, hairdressers and beauty salons – 0.4%, catering – 0.3%; travel by rail transport rose by 0.4% while by air – fell by 0.5%.
Further, tariffs for cold water use increased by 7.5%, sewerage – 7.4%, natural gas – 1.2%, hot water – 0.4%.
