Donald's said Wednesday it plans to open restaurants in Kazakhstan for the first time next year.
Kazakhstan is the Oak Brook burger giant's 120th global market. The first McDonald's restaurant in Kazakhstan is expected to open during the second half of 2015, chicagotribune.com reports.
The chain didn't say how many locations it plans to open in the country. Worldwide, it has 35,000 restaurants. More than 80 percent of those are owned an operated by independent local businesspeople.
