The AEE Kazakhstan Chapter connects members in Kazakhstan with 16,000 professionals in 90 countries, and provides access to AEE's internationally known energy certification programs and expertise. The AEE Kazakhstan Chapter brings together leading energy practitioners and decision makers from government, business and education sectors across the country to help achieve the common goal of increasing energy efficiency and implementing Kazakhstan's National Energy Strategy, reports.

The AEE Kazakhstan Chapter will:

  • Support the Government of Kazakhstan in applying energy efficiency and energy-saving policies and measures. The AEE Kazakhstan Chapter will work with the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Investments and Development to improve implementation of the Law on Energy Savings through more effective energy audits and improved practices.
  • Strengthen professional education on energy management and energy auditing. Through the AEE Kazakhstan Chapter, national experts can complete internationally certified professional training to improve their skills and enhance their qualifications.

The AEE Kazakhstan Chapter was launched with the support of the American people through USAID as part of the Kazakhstan Climate Change Mitigation Program (KCCMP). This USAID program supports the Kazakhstani Government and business community in implementing policies to reduce greenhouse gases at the national and corporate levels, and provides specialized training to help build the next generation of climate and energy professionals in Kazakhstan.
