On October 4 Muslims will celebrate the Kurban Ait Sacred Holiday

Mosque in AtyrauThis year the first day of Kurban ait holiday (Feast of Sacrifice) falls on Saturday, October 4. Despite this, the day off will not be transferred to the next working day, astana.gov.kz reports with reference to the press service of the RoK Government.

According to the Law “On Holidays in RoK” Kurban ait and Christmas are religious holidays, and only national and public holidays are transferred when they fall on the days off.

Ait-namaz payer in mosques will take place on October 4 at 8:00am local time. Kurban ait holiday is connected with the animal sacrifice ceremony, such as sheep, goats, cows, and also camels. It would be correct to divide the animal meat into three parts: one part is given to needy people, the second - to the relatives or neighbors, and the third part to the family. The sacrificial animal meat can also be totally distributed to the needy people in community.
