US to oppose Russia's intervening in Trans-Caspian pipeline project

At the International Conference Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan, L. Tracey, the representative of American administration, warned Russia that Washington will not allow Moscow to intervene in the completion of Trans-Caspian pipeline project:

- In case Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan agree, no country may ban laying a pipeline on the bottom of the Caspian Sea, she said in presence of 700 delegates from 30 oil-rich countries at the meeting.

Besides, EU Special Representative for Central Asia Affairs Patricia Fleur in her speech emphasized that European Union is ready to procure Turkmen gas for over 30 years.
