More than 100 tons of smuggled non-ferrous metals (copper) were seized yesterday while they were being transported from Kazakhstan to Russia, inform.kz has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh Frontier Service.
A border patrol detained 5 citizens of Kazakhstan who were on their way to Orenburg, Russia. The smugglers tried to transport KZT120 million worth of copper via the Kazakh-Russian border on trucks.
An investigation was launched.
