Results of Kazakh athletes at Winter Olympics in Sochi by February 17

Kazakh athletes participated in 3 disciplines at Sochi Olympic Winter Games on February 16, azh.kz reports, citing sports.kz.

In men's downhill ski, Kazakh sportsmen Dmitriy Koshkin came 30th, Martin Huber – 40th, and Igor Zakurdaev – 44th.

Kazakhstan's men's team on ski for 4×10 km, consisting of Denis Volotki, Sergei Cherepanov, Eugeniy Velichko, and Mark Starostin, took 13th place out of 16 teams.

In women's ski for 1,500 m, Kazakh skater Ekaterina Aidova took 28th place with a score of 2:00:93.

So far, Kazakhstan has won 1 bronze medal in figure skating. The victory was achieved by Denis Ten.
