Chief rescuer detained on suspicion of taking bribe

The department on combat against economic and corruption crime (financial police) on Atyrau Oblast circulated press release about detaining the Head of the Western Regional Airmobile Rapid Response  and Rescue Group under the RoK Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The press release reads that Amantai of Yerbozov, the Head of the Western Regional Airmobile Rapid Response and Rescue Group (under the RoK Ministry of Emergency Situations) was taken into custody on January 10. He was detained on suspicion of taking bribes that took place on December 26 and 27 of 2013 in the amount of 60 thousand tenge from two of his subordinates. The purpose of bribes was taking two subordinates under his general protection during the service. Against A. Yerbozov a criminal case has been initiated according to Art. 311 of RoK Criminal Code (“Taking a bribe”).
